Presentate le uniformi per la stagione inaugurale dei Vancouver Black Cats.
La sigla del nickname, che coincidentalmente è la stessa della British Columbia, appare sulla casacca di casa e sul cappello da trasferta; il governatore della Provincia Iona Campagnolo ha affermato che ciò contribuirà a rendere i Black Cats la Franchigia in cui si riconosceranno tutti gli abitanti della Provincia.

A breve saranno ufficializzati i numeri indossati da ciascun giocatore.

"Con le ultimissime acquisizioni di Frank Thomas,Luis Castillo e Brian Giles (tutti al minimo salariale...)
e la trade con Boston che ha portato a Vancouver il 3B Melvin Mora,a 10 giorni scarsi dall'Opening Day,

Con l'acquisto di Miguel Cabrera e il taglio di Matt Morris i VBC chiudono definitavamente
la propria off-season.

Auguriamo in bocca al lupo a tutti per la stagione che è appena iniziata!

Aggiornata la situazione di roster e farm dei VBC!

Aprile è già andato e anche le prime sfide divisionali...

Diciamo un inizio senza infamia e senza lode:
al momento i Gatti Neri sono secondi dietro gli scatenati Seattle!
In 5 partite 3 vittorie (2 sofferte con Winnemucca e la capolista Seattle e una piuttosto
larga contro Arizona) e 2 sconfitte pesantine con Escondido e San Francisco.

Si preannuncia una bella battaglia per tutta la stagione...

Buon Fantasy a tutti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His fastball can reach 97 m.p.h., and he adds a devastating curve and a very strong change-up to his impressive arsenal. Induces plenty of groundballs, since his fastball has a ton of movement and sinking action. Has amazing command and poise.

Johan Santana

1979
Has a quality fastball and one of the best change-ups in the big leagues. Gets ahead in the count and works quickly. His command is consistently excellent. Defends his position well and can even hit a little.

Barry Zito
SF
1978
Owns an intimidating curveball that makes left-handed hitters' knees buckle. Mixes his pitches with aplomb. Is a durable and competitive starter.

Gio Gonzalez
OAK
1985
Has tremendous stuff and the ability to dominate hitters, especially lefty bats. Owns an arsenal of pitches that give batters fits. Can strike plenty of batters out.

Jason Marquis
WAS
1978
Marquis has a solid fastball and is able to keep the ball in the park by inducing ground balls with his biting slider. He handles hitters equally well from both sides, keeps runners close, and doesn't let that leadoff man do any damage.

Ian Snell

In terms of pure stuff, he has the goods to be very successful in the big leagues. Tends to get better deep into his starts. Is fearless on the mound.

Throws a very good curveball, and most of his pitches have movement. Can both start and relieve, and is resilient enough to be used early and often

Still owns one of the best change-ups in the bigs. Hides the ball very well in his wind-up, causing batters to swing late on the fastball and early on the change.
One of the greatest closers ever.

Francisco Cordero

A live, high-90s fastball is his greatest asset, coupled with a nice slider to keep hitters honest. Is quite durable.

Jeremy Affeldt

Throws hard, works well with runners in scoring position and gives left-handed hitters nightmares. Can strike batters out with consistency. Keeps the ball in the park.

Has good command of a couple of different fastballs, plus a curveball, splitter and change-up. Is a versatile, hard-nosed hurler.
