2013 Stanleit Rosters - now we need a season!

Post by bure »

Free agency basically over, let's see what the lineups and rosters look like as a result.

here is Biron's take btw:
http://forum.playitusa.com/viewtopic.ph ... 4#p2541975
(not sure how google translator will work on this one for our fellow North Americans)

So, post your roster here!
Like this:

bold:
your starting lineup, the one you would use on a busy NHL Saturday night (ehh, sweet far away memory)

regular:
the other main roster players to add up to the 25 limit

italic:
extras in your farm team that you expect to bring some contribution

+ your take on your current team

keep the same format of the first posts: quote->copy&past->change text and colours and remove [quote]

you can include your unsigned rookies if they're supposed to be NHL regulars this season.
And you can use whatever language you want, even biron's one!

GOALIES
Lundqvist
Backstrom
Lehtonen

Lehner, Bishop, Lack, Biron, Poulin

GM's TAKE
Quiet different team from previous seasons, time for rookies and youngsters to contribute and balance the heavy spending on 5 players that alone eat 45% of the cap (ouch, Ovy and Lundqvist better deliver lol).
However, as far as i can remember, the team looks better to me than past years' ones did at the start of the season.
KEY: Cervenka & Brunner succeeding in their rookie season
WILDCARD: Jesse Joensuu
STRENGTHS: Goalies (can you believe it?!), points from D

GM's TAKE
Cup hang over will not be a factor: we're still drunk!

WILDCARD: Tarasenko / McDonald / Faulk
STRENGTHS: Best defense in the league. Carcillo/Konopka/TooToo will kick your ass!

Philadelphia Broad Street Bullies

FORWARDS

Neal - Richards - Gaborik
Kane - Plekanec - Gionta
Marchand - Kruger - Kennedy
MacArthur - Gaustad - Wellwood

Penner - Talbot - Upshall
-----------------------------------------------
C: Goc, Dalpe, Horak
RW: Condra, Halischuk, Vincour

DEFENSEMEN

Coburn - Garrison
Martin - Sekera
Gunnarsson - Boychuk

-----------------------------------------------
D: Sauer, Weber, Brodie, Brennan

GOALIES

Smith
Price
-----------------------------------------------
G: LaBarbera, Karlsson

GM's TAKE
"I really like our team", "We'll do what it takes" (cit.)
Anyway, we expect to be fairly competitive while the youngsters develop. RW is still our weak point probably, couldn't really get a reliable RW2 for the right price so we went the RW2.5 way with Gionta and saved some cap flexibility for future movements.
KEY: Some players will have to bounce back, we expect more from Penner, Upshall, Gionta, Kennedy.
WILDCARD: TJ Brennan.
STRENGHTS: Goalies should be reliable, depth should be ok.

GM's TAKE
I'll be a pain in your fucking asses.
And Biron can stick up his wide open hole his fucking predictions.
For the first since the birth of mankind he hasn't assembled a total puke of a team, and he starts throwing around judgements here and there.
I don't know if it's funny or annoying...let's get to the playoff before talking about it.
And shave your loser's beard, NERD...unless you show some guts for the first time in your life and post some pics to show for it.

HALIFAX MOOSEHEADS

Landeskog - Toews- Okposo
Kunitz - J. Staal - Setoguchi
Malone - Kelly - Hansen

Smyth - Hodgson - Kopecky
-----------------------------------------------

LW: M. Foligno, Comeau

DEFENSEMEN
Wideman - Vlasic
Whitney - Gudbranson
Butler- Wilson

-----------------------------------------
T. Erixon, B. Lovejoy, J. Schultz

GOALIES
M.A Fleury
Lindback

GM's TAKE

KEY: Loaded up on Centres and now one of the deepest in the league, Rookies Foligno and Neiderreiter may jump up at some point, Defense is weak for the moment. Goalies are ok, Lindback could be the saving grace of the team, may make another move for even more depth in this position (as NY decided to screw everyone this year). Big improvement depth-wise from the past few seasons and ready to take the next step in the playoffs. Lots of pieces going to be free'd up for next season too. Overall, money evenly spent and not thrown carelessly at one or two superstars like other teams.
WILDCARD: Lindback, Staal
STRENGTHS: Depth at all forward positions, possibly top 3 in the league with regards to caliber of centers
